Inspired to play harmonica by an F# mouth harp giving to him at a fair in Hyderabad, India, gundo quickly picked up bass, piano, drums, and guitar. He played with two bands in high school, and then after college performed on the Chicago folk circuit with Kathy Folkerts for 3 years, and then 1 year solo. gundo has worked as a hired gun for several performers, playing a variety of instruments both on stage and in the studio. gundo also performs with Howlin' Beagle, which performs rock music with a folk twist (ever hear the main riff of "Satisfaction" played on mandolin?).
